The program summaries provide an overview of each program of the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF) at the beginning of each financial year. They explain what support the CSSF provides and why it is needed, and explain:
- where the program works
- what it’s trying to achieve
- the budget
- the program length
They break down the program activities into individual components or projects, with details of the UK lead government agency and the organizations running the program. Please see the Program Summary Form for more details.
The CSSF aims to publish information for all programs. However, due to the highly sensitive nature of some of the work of the CSSF, it is not possible to publish details of all programs. The 2 main reasons we may not be able to publish program documents are:
- to protect national security
- for the safety of beneficiaries, partners and partner governments
Regional and thematic committees decide what can be published and apply similar criteria set out in Freedom of Information legislation.
The 2 largest CSSF supply partners, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID) have merged to form the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Since these reviews look back on the achievements of the 2019-2020 reporting period, the programs still relate to the then lead department.
